Has your Dominance evolved over time? If so, how has it evolved for you? What do you attribute this evolution (or lack of) to?
Evolution is necessary, don’t you think? I mean, if we weren’t meant to evolve, we’d still still be uncollected bits of scattered primordial matter floating around the ocean or wherever the ancient space people set us down in. We wouldn’t understand the Human Condition or create great things or be the sexy fuckers we are today. Yes, there are also the darker parts of evolution: War, politics, reality TV, influencers; however, I’d much rather focus on the better, sexier parts of this mortal experience.
Am I the same Dom I was when I started this journey? No, I’m not and that’s a good thing because I started with very little in the ways of experience, knowledge, and gear. Had I stayed put, I wouldn’t be living the life I’ve got now which is pretty fooken amazing.
I believe evolution should be a goal because times change, people change. In the early days, I had a boy and it was my first D/s dynamic. I was learning as I went along, we both were. Ultimately, the dynamic petered out because life circumstances shifted for both of us. It was a good experience and definitely taught me a lot about myself, mainly that I was not ready to handle a dynamic yet.
Now, I engage in dynamics of many types as the Dominant; all of it manageable and the ability resultant from evolution. I went from being fairly clueless with one flogger to being experienced with a literal toolbox of floggers, paddles, rope, and all manner of nasty, beautiful instruments. There are gear pieces I still have from my early days that I still wear. My favourite is a Muir cap I found and purchased at an antique faire for $10. Crafted by a union, it has evolved as I’ve evolved and hangs in my home office as a testament to my Dominant development.
Yours In Leather,
SIR Aaron Wolf
