Why, SIR?

Sometime in MY early Leather days, I obtained a short-sleeved Leather shirt at Worn Out West in the Castro that I have to this day. It was made by Kookie International and has stood the test of time. What I found out was that Kookie International is headquartered at 1201 Folsom Street, the same location as Leather Etc. Over the past few years, Leather Etc. has fast become a companion place to Mister S Leather down the street when I need gear that is unique, stylish, and decently priced. The staff are always welcoming and there is almost always something new to buy when I go in there. I’VE also picked up some great impact and sensation play gear as well.

One of the draws to Leather Etc. is the inventory of more throwback pieces; in a previous post, I mentioned MY Leather look was a callback to the 70s to 90s-era Leathermen; Leather Etc. happens to carry items that emulate that era. I was able to pick up a classic Leather X-harness with thick straps and silver hardware. It’s now one of MY favourite pieces to sport and will likely be featured in the upcoming Mister Bolt Leather 2027 Contest Weekend. I’ve also picked up Leather armbands with silver embellishments that also harken back to the 70s and 80s. There are real gems if you take the time to look.

Of the more recent pieces of gear are Hunter Green vests and pants, and well-crafted Muir caps trimmed in different colours. The quality is actually quite excellent. If you find yourself in San Francisco, check out Leather Etc.
