I’m geared up for the day and having a cup of coffee while Dad gets ready. After last night, a nice sleep-in was necessary.

It was a great night with BLUF San Francisco (BLUFSF) as we grabbed dinner at the Willows and headed to the SF Eagle for the monthly HARD event. I grabbed the fried chicken sandwich and it was totally tasty.

Of the many things I enjoy about being the Organizer for BLUFSF since I assumed the last year are the people and the conversations. Some nights, I never leave the spot I’m standing in because there’s a new conversation when I turn around. It’s almost never a bad thing and the interactions mean a lot.

I’d always thought myself as shy and reserved when I was younger, and this precluded me in engaging with folx. Now, at 45, I’ve found it easier to connect with people despite some misanthropic tendencies. I always appreciate folx willing to step up and have a conversation with me.

It was also great to chat with the current Mr. SF Eagle 2026 Gray Gibson, 2024’s Alex Seidel, and 2022’s Ghee Phua.

Today, it’s a late start but there’s not much on the docket. Dad and I will be putting up posters for BLUFSF CUERO on April 4th and grabbing dinner. Later tonight, we may hit the SF Eagle again for Las Banderas. I’ve got my cowboy hat and my cigars. If you’re out and about, come on by and say hello.
