Last night, I co-hosted BLUFSF‘s monthly gear night, HARD, at the SF Eagle. Before that, a few of us gathered at Manora’s Thai Cuisine a couple blocks away for a quick dinner. While it was a small gathering, it was a wonderful time eating and chatting with folx from the SF Leather Scene.

This was the third time I’ve co-hosted BLUFSF‘s HARD, I have to say that each time it gets easier and more fun. Connection to Community is vital and is something I previously took for granted. As I’ve gotten older, I find that connection with other Leatherfolx plays an important role to my development as a Leatherman and Dom. HARD is a great way to develop connections and make good contact with like-minded folx.

That said, if you’re seriously into wearing Leather and would like to connect with Leathermen across the globe, consider joining the Breeches & Leather Uniform Fanclub (BLUF). I joined last year and have found a great sense of Community and connection with Leather gear heads like me. Additionally, it’s great to participate in an active chapter of BLUF worldwide. BLUF has guidelines for applying so give the site a read before getting your application together.

Today, my Daddy and I took time to recover from last night by sleeping in. We headed to Japantown for ramen, then headed to Leather Etc. in SoMa to look for Leather-themed folderol. We then went to the Castro for cookies and coffee while looking for more folderol. A great day ending with a homemade steak dinner. A wonderful weekend so far.
